Nuts-and-Bolts: Changes to Annual VETS Reporting

After the reporting period for 2014, the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS or the Agency) issued a final ruling that would modify the reporting requirements under the Vietnam Era Veteran’s Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) of 1974. In previous years, Federal contractors and subcontractors were required to report the total number of employees who belonged to a number of categories protected under the VEVRAA, in addition to the total number of protected veterans who were hired during the reporting period.  (more…)

Nuts-and-Bolts: VETS Reporting – Who, What, and When

September is officially here, and the September 30th due date for EEO-1 Reporting is fast approaching, which means the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service Reports (VETS-100 and VETS-100A) are due as well.  Similar to EEO-1 reporting, VETS-100 and VETS-100A Reports are compliance surveys mandated by federal regulations and statutes.  As mentioned in our previous blog post on EEO Reporting, frequently asked questions pertaining to filing include: Who needs to file; What do you need to report and why; and, When do you have to do all of this? September 30th is just around the corner, which means for many of us that it is time to start gathering the information needed for annual EEO-1 reporting.
